I go to great lengths to ensure all ingredients used in my products are from sustainable sources.
This is why you won’t find certain essential oils such as sandalwood in my products.
I talk to my suppliers personally and ask questions about where the ingredients come from & how they are made.
If I can’t ascertain their origins, I will not use them.

Sustainable production 

• Wherever possible, ingredient packaging such as coconut oil buckets, bubble wrap and boxes, is re-used or recycled. 
• Waste, such as paper towels and latex gloves, is all biodegradable.
• No chemicals are used in the processing. Sterilising is done with hot water and an oven rather than the common practise of spraying jars with chemicals. 

All surfaces are washed with vinegar during processing.

And sustainable packaging 

• All packaging is in high-grade glass, as plastic can cause harm when it ends up in the environment and may leach chemicals into products, potentially causing endocrine disruption and other health problems. 
• Customers are encouraged to return glass jars for refilling and receive $1 off their next purchase. 
• Where it's not possible to return jars, customers are encouraged to reuse or recycle.

All Intuitive Skin Nourishment products are hand-made out of raw unprocessed ingredients, in small batches at a time.
From ethically sourced organic and wild-harvested ingredients, and where possible, from small communities who directly benefit from the sale of their goods.

There are no chemicals used in my products at all.
All ingredients are Chemical-free and raw, allowing maximum benefit from each ingredient as nature intended

• Naturally free from any parabens, phthalates, ammonia, sulphates, petrochemicals, resorcinol, solubilisers, emulsifiers, artificial colours, fragrances and preservatives.
• Formulated with ingredients that have a 1 rating with the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep Cosmetic Database (http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/).

• All packaging of products is in high-grade glass - plastic causes harm when it ends up in the environment and leaches chemicals into products, potentially causing endocrine disruption and other health problems.

• Postage packaging used is recycled more often than not – bubble wrap, air bubbles, paper & often boxes are recycled.
• Any printing is done on 100% recycled paper.

• Because the oils I use are unrefined and unadulterated, they will melt in warmer temperatures and go quite hard when it is cold.
  To overcome this I would need to do what most skin care manufacturers do -  add emulsifiers and solubilisers to mix in other ingredients that are terrible for your skin.
  

• These dark spots are just part of the shea butter - because its hand pressed and not further processed there can be different colours in the oil.

• Each oil in the product cools at a different rate and temperature.  I have found that if the Nourishing Night & Day is left to cool slowly the shea butter cools first – so the little lumps are just little bits of shea butter.
  
  To overcome this – give the jar a shake after its melted put it in the freezer to cool.  The rapid cooling will leave the product with a smooth consistency.
